Cloth diapering can save you a ton of money and is great for the environment. We all hear this and take this in to consideration when deciding to do cloth diapering or not. The ultimate answer is usually “Of course I’ll do cloth diapering!” But then we ask ourself….

Where is the help & info when we decide to do cloth diapering?

  • Which diapers do I buy?
  • What kind?
  • How do I wash them?
  • Do I pay a diaper service to wash them?
  • Where do I put them when they are dirty?
  • How do I cloth diaper when on the go or on a vacation?

The questions are endless and it gets to the point where we either stop cloth diapering because its too much work or don’t start it at all for whatever reason.

So I’ve put together a guide to help you get started from the beginning and keep it going with each child you are blessed with.

    1. Hi!

Yes I do. Funny you mentioned that, I’m in the process of opening my Etsy shop now. Once I’m done making a few items and photograph them for the site I will let you know. I hope to get everything done by mid next week. So that way you can see the different options and fabric choices. For hybrid fitted I’m giving the option of cotton velour or sherpa on the inside layer (they both feel heavenly against babies skin) and outside layer will be the choice of fleece or cotton knit.

  1. Have you heard of Alva diapers. They are all I use and they are great. Cheapest option I have ever found. Also make your own liners out of fleece baby blankets form the dollar store. Throw away if baby poops or wash and reuse if she just pees. This is a great cost effective alternative to spraying diapers so easy and so cheap.

    1. Yes! I started making my own diaper liners out of flannel and they have been a dream! I dump the poop in the toilet, wash and reuse. So much extra money saved then buying disposable liners! And yes! Saves our refolds from getting stained badly!

  2. So..soiled diapers full of pee and maybe a little poop just go straight into the washing machine? With some detergent and theyre good to go, just making sure thats correct!
    Thanks

    1. Breastfed newborn poop is always safe to skip the rinse and throw in the washer. Pee with a little poop (no clumps) is safe not rinse. Huge poop clumps has to be rinse and if there is any bad staining i would rinse that off to with a high pressure bidet.
